How we met:
We both grew up in Cape May and we even went to the same high school but because of an age difference we didn’t meet in High School. My girlfriend was dating John’s best friend. John was living in California and was coming back to Cape May to visit. My girlfriend invited me out with them one night and in the one week he was here visiting we both knew it was right. He went back to California, quit his job and moved back here.

Saved Money By:
My mother & grandmother made all our centerpieces for us. I’m not sure if it saved money, fresh flowers may have cost less, but it was really nice and part of her gift to us. We’re really lucky and grateful that we didn’t have to pay for our wedding because our families (my grandparents, parents and his parents) all went in together to pay for our wedding.

Best Part:
I’m not sure I can pick one best part. It rained in the morning and then stopped before the wedding. Everybody being together and having such a great day together meant a lot but the best part of the day was when he put the ring on my finger.

Tip for Brides-To-Be:
Be calm and don’t stress out about things. I actually planned my wedding in less than a year. Everything fell into place because I was calm. If someone couldn’t do my wedding I just knew I’d find someone else.
