Believe
it or not, these haunted hotels really do exist and if you think no one is
crazy enough to spend their honeymoon in haunted hotels, think again.
At the end of this article you can check out links to two separate accounts
of honeymooning couples who like to mix a little of the macabre with their
romance.
First
on our list is The Flanders, one of the most elegant oceanfront hotels in
South Jersey and a very popular wedding reception site. If you're
engaged to be married, you may have even attended one of their bridal
shows. But did you know that the hotel is also home to a happy ghost
named Emily - the red-haired woman shown in the painting in the upstairs
lobby. This "lady in white" appears and disappears
through walls, unscrews lightbulbs and supposedly even sings through the
hallways. Emily, or "The Lady In White" is shown below.

Perhaps
even more interesting are some of the recordings and photos made by South
Jersey Ghost Research, a professional group of ghost investigators working
in South Jersey. Visit their website for yourself to see what they had
to say about the haunting of The Flanders.

Laguna
Vista Lodge & Saloon in Eagles Nest, New Mexico has quite a past and,
according to some reports, at least 22 ghosts. One of particular
interest is thought to be the spirit of a bride who honeymooned at the Lodge
with her husband. One day her husband went out hunting, never to
return. It is said that the young bride then became a "saloon
girl" and that it is her spirit that still haunts the hallways.

One
of the most famous ships in history, The Queen Mary is now a floating hotel,
docked in Long Beach, California. Not only can you get married on the
ship, but countless couples have honeymooned on the ship and now you can
too. Of course, you may want to watch out for some of the other ghosts
aboard. Most of the hauntings on the ship are said to occur near the
first class swimming pool. On separate occasions, two women drowned
there - one in the 1930's, one in the 1960's. Well, check the ghost
cam for yourself on this website: www.ghostsandlegends.com/he/index.php
