We Saved Money By:
We saved money by making our own centerpieces.  We also opted for the buffet instead of a sit-down dinner so we could have more people there.  Our biggest cost saver was right there.

We Used the Internet
I used the internet, including AtlanticCityWeddings.com, to get lots of ideas for flowers, bouquets, centerpieces etc.  I also found Lucy of Airbrush makeup on this site and won the sandcastle contest.

How We Met
My daughter Erica was working at Christine's Bakery in Northfield.  Mike would go in there a lot to get ad copy and my daughter would ask him things every time he came in.  He was so nervous that this young girl was asking him questions like "Are you married?"  Eventually she told him she wanted him to meet her mom.  She called me up one day and said "Mom, can you come pick me up at Christine's after work?  Make sure you're dressed cute."  I knew she had something up her sleeve when she told me to dress cute but I went along with it and that's how we met.

Centerpieces
Large white candles enclosed in glass hurricanes surrounded by rose petals.

First Dance:
"Have You Ever Been In Love" - Celine Dion

Cake:  The Smithville Inn

Table Numbers: We had a friend of ours take photos of us on the beach holding signs made by our kids of each table #.  They were all different poses of us on the beach and ended up being quite a hit.

Honeymoon:
We went to The Riviera Maya and stayed at an all inclusive resort called Adventure Spa Palace.  It was phenomenal, absolutely wonderful.

Best Part
We couldn't wait to have this big party/reception with all our friends and family.  We thought it was about the reception but once I walked into the room and saw Michael everything changed.  It was clear to me at that point my favorite part would be exchanging our vows.  We did have notes of what we wanted to say to each other but we also let our emotions speak as well.  Neither of us knew what the other was going to say and that made it even more special!

Tips for Brides To Be:
Enjoy the process of planning your wedding, set priorities and stay within your means. We had a great day the whole day.  Our wedding was about Michael and I and our children and having a good time.
