Decorations/Centerpieces:
We used large brandy snifters with Beta Fish and a floating candle.  I don't think we saved any money by making them ourselves though.  We then had Dolores (Timely Arrangements) put a ring of flowers around them.  The Flanders was awesome and packed up the centerpieces for us at the end of the reception.  The guests took the fish home.

Invitations: My sister, Karyn DiMattia, is a graphic designer.  She designed our invitations which had 2 starfish and our names on them.  They were tied with raffia which is kind of "beachy."

We Saved Money By:

We saved money by buying Shriver's Salt Water Taffy in bulk.  We put the taffy in clear plastic candy bags and tied them with raffia for our favors.   We also bought seashells from a wholesaler on the internet, shellhorizons.com.  Each of the favors had a starfish tied around them.  Starfish were also used for the centerpieces.

We Used the Internet:
I had just moved to this area from North Carolina so I used this site a lot to plan my wedding.  I also used The Knot, The Wedding Channel and Bridalmart.com.

How We Met:
We met in college when a mutual friend introduced us.  We're both teachers and when Scott wanted to move to New Jersey to be closer to his family we got engaged and moved here.  He teaches in Mullica and I teach in Egg Harbor Twp.

My sister, Tamara Pelletier, is a professional hair stylist at The Ritz in Voorhees so she came to my house in the morning

Best Part
We took pictures after the ceremony on the beach.  People on the Boardwalk all parted and congratulated us.  It was really nice.

Tips for Brides To Be:
Don't leave for your honeymoon until a day or two after the wedding.  You have so much to do.  I can't imagine if we had left the next morning.  We wanted to see our parents and talk about the wedding, gather up our things (table cameras, guest book, etc.), pack, etc...

Make sure your bustle is fastened in more than one place and make sure someone knows how to do it.  People had trouble understanding how mine worked and after it was finally fixed it broke later in the night after dancing for a while.
